Information for Parents and Carers
This leaflet provides information to parents and carers on how they can support their children’s mental health and wellbeing.
View leafletAt My Oasis we recognise how challenging it can be being a parent or carer, with this being even more difficult should your child be struggling with their mental health or any SEND needs which are not currently being met. Although it can be so rewarding watching your child grow up, it can also be really hard work and more so during times when your child is struggling, and you do not know what to do to help them. We therefore try to support parents and carers as much as possible during your child’s placement with us at My Oasis, such as through providing information and advice, offering workshops to help them support their child with various mental health difficulties, as well as access to one-to-one therapy and counselling where available.
As well as having our own CAMHS specialists employed within the team at My Oasis, we also work closely with external agencies to ensure a young person’s needs are met holistically and that support is provided for parents and carers as well.
