At My Oasis we work to a tiered approach which is in line with the Government’s recommendations and entails offering differing levels of support depending on the needs of each young person referred.
Now that we have finally secured our long-term premises, we have completed the application form for Ofsted and are going down the route of becoming a registered and regulated provision for young people. Although we are not yet registered, we follow a standard quality assurance protocol to ensure we offer safe and quality provision for each young person referred to My Oasis. A rigorous quality assurance assessment has been carried out in partnerships with Wigan Council and individual schools to ensure that My Oasis offers a quality and efficient service. A section 11 safeguarding audit has also been completed to make sure we meet all safeguarding requirements expected within any Ofsted registered educational provision, following all the relevant safeguarding procedures and policies. In addition, all staff are recruited in line with our safer recruitment policy and procedures.
