At My Oasis, we actively promote positive, inclusive values.
These include democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect for and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs. We believe British values are those values expected of anyone living in Britain, regardless of their nationality, culture or religious belief. We place great emphasis on building positive relationships amongst the students themselves as well as between staff and students. We strongly believe students should not merely be taught such values but that they are embedded into our daily life.
My Oasis promotes British values through our broad and balanced curriculum. We are committed to serving our community and recognise the multi-cultural, multi-faith and ever-changing nature of the United Kingdom. We also understand the vital role we have in ensuring that groups or individuals within the therapeutic provision are not subjected to intimidation or radicalisation by those wishing to unduly, or illegally, influence them.

We believe and actively support the view that all students should be protected from radicalisation and extremism. Our approach to this is in line with the Government’s CONTEST (the counter terrorist strategy) and PREVENT (stopping people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism) strategies. We support and adhere to the latest guidance from the Department for Education which requires schools to actively promote fundamental British Values and to ensure that students are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance.
